Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada consistently emerges as the number one choice for senator in various nationwide senatorial polls.

Surveys conducted by Pulse Asia, Social Weather Stations, Issues and Advocacy Center, Manila Standard Today and Manila Broadcasting Company-dzRH all show Sen. Estrada as the top choice of the electorate in May 2010 senatorial race.

Sen. Estrada is thankful for the support of the Filipino people for their trust and support and promised to make this as his inspiration to work harder and to become a better public servant.

In Pulse Asia’s December 2009 Pre-election survey, Sen. Estrada obtained 55.1% preference rating from 1,800 respondents from all over the country. The survey fieldwork using face-to-face interviews was conducted from December 8 to 10, with a ±2% error margin at the 95% confidence level.

Sen. Estrada is also the most favored among senatoriables in a nationwide survey by the Issues and Advocacy Center (The Center) conducted last December 2 to 6, 2009. Fifty-three percent (53%) or 636 of the 1,200 respondents surveyed said they will vote for the young Estrada if elections were held that day of polling.

A second poll by the Manila Standard Today shows Sen. Estrada topping the list of senatorial aspirants with 60% preference rating, up by 13 percentage points from their initial survey showing Sen. Estrada with 47%.

Standard Today interviewed 2,500 registered voters nationwide from December 6 to 12. Coming close to Sen. Estrada is Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago with 59 percent.

Further, Sen. Estrada leads the list of senatoriables in a special national Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey commissioned by Puerto Princesa City Mayor Edward Hagedorn. Sen. Estrada garnered 56% preference rating from 1,200 respondents from Metro Manila, rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The survey was conducted from November 4 to 8 with sampling error margin of ±3 percent for national percentages.

Finally, in a survey released by Manila Broadcasting Co. and dzRH-AM radio, Sen. Estrada still dominates the senatorial derby with 56.7% of the respondents’ votes. The survey, which included 95 personalities eyeing a Senate seat, was conducted from December 12 to 19 and interviewed 6,788 adults aged 18 years old and above.
