Sen. Jinggoy Estrada helps stranded OFWs come home from UAE

Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada welcomes today the ten repatriated female overseas Filipino workers at NAIA, Pasay City. The ten are among the 140 OFWs Sen. Estrada met during his brief stopover in UAE early April after he led the RP delegation in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The second batch of returning OFWs sponsored by Sen. Estrada stayed for months at the Filipino Resource Center (FRC) in UAE while awaiting repatriation, mostly working as household service workers, complained of maltreatment and verbal abuse from their employers.
