NO AGE LIMIT FOR JOB APPLICANTSJuly 9, 2011 @ 9:33pm
To ease the unemployment problem in the Philippines, it will be of immense help if you can pass a bill giving the middle aged Filipino workers aged 35 years old above to still qualify in the job application process. The notion of "over age" should be abolished, and the companies discriminating applicants because of age should be penalized. Most companies hire only applicants under 35 years old, even if the over 35 years old applicants have extensive work experience, more knowledgeable, still physically capable and in most need of the job owing to the fact that these group have families already and with children who still have to be sent to school. In the US, they still accept workers even at age 60 as long as the applicant can still do the job. Thank you very much Sen. Jinggoy. If these will be successfully passed as a bill, we salute you for truly attending to the needs of the Filipino people - particularly those who needs to work, can still work, can do the work but deprived of the opportunity because of AGE.
