Press release/advisory from thousands of smart e-load dealers : for media outfit distribution
PICKET / RALLY OF THOUSANDS OF SMALL ENTREPRENEURS VS. TELCO GIANT SMART PHILS. INC.
Thousands of small businessmen represented by their association – T.E.A, INC. are set to stage a picket rally in front of the SMART TOWER at Ayala Avenue , Makati City on Thursday, May 21, 2009 , at 12noon.
They are protesting the the telco’s summary dismissal of around 30,000 to 50,000 SMART E-LOAD DEALERS AND SUBDEALERS NATIONWIDE.
They claim that many of them have been part of Smart’s eload business since its’ early years but were recently unceremoniously eliminated in favor of a few companies appointed by Smart.
According to Tea, inc. president Robert Galon, the thousands of Smart Phils. dealers and subdealers now fear future of their families as Smart has effectively killed their livelihood. Tea, Inc. hopes that the government would look into their situation and help them. Prompting them to recently publish an open letter to GMA and our LEGISLATORS to ask for their help.
